Isobel goes Skating!
Bella has decided what she wants to be when she grows up, not a "ballet teacher" as she had considered before, but a "ballet teacher on ice!"  This based on her first experience of 'skating', as seen in the video below.  We have had a late winter, and it finally got cold enough to freeze a rink at the park across the street from our house.  Isobel woke up one morning, looked out her bedroom window, and saw people skating, and immediately got out her bobskates and headed downstairs to put on her snowsuit.  She has been looking forward to this for a long time, and had visions of herself doing figure eights and spins across the ice...  However, she still loves it, even after discovering it wasn't as easy as she thought, and we have been over there twice a day every good weather day since.   She doesn't stop talking the entire time: "look how good I am!", "I'm getting so much better!", "next year I want real skates like yours, Mummy!" and on and on and on.

(Please note that this video is unedited, so it isn't exactly thrilling.  If you have something better to do with your 4.5 minutes than watch me and Isobel wobble around like newborn Bambi, then don't bother.  But for anyone who wants to feel like they were there at Isobel's first steps onto the ice, here it is)
